Adobe photoshop ! The best photo editing tool. Here i'll teach u how to create a cool effect in photoshop! Read on . . 




A cool lightning effect can be easily created using Photoshop cs3. It some what looks like this 

So how to do this ??
Simple five steps 
Step 1: Open ur photoshop !! File -- > New file ---> set parameters as show below

Step 2:Now Select Gradiant tool !! press D for default!! Apply it to blank page from top to bottom holding shift key !! Make sure your foreground and background colors are set to default before applying !! see pic below 

Step 3: Now goto filter ---> render ---> difference clouds 

Step 4 : Invert the colours.  Press ctrl + I
After inverting,  it looks like this

Step 5: Goto image ----> Adjustment ---> levels
             Adjust middle handler as show below!!

You are almost done !! Just play with Color balance option !!
See so simple. In 5 steps !! Lightning effect .

Nvidia vs ATI !! Which is better ??

ATI and Nvidia are the leaders of the GPU market. When you upgrade your graphics card you usually have to choose between similarly priced and positioned products from these two companies. But how do you know if ATI or Nvidia is better?

Nvidia is a GPU (graphics processing unit) and motherboard chipset manufacturer based in Santa Clara, California (US). It was founded in 1993 and since then became one of the leaders in gaming and professional graphics. Nvidia was the first to introduce a graphics card with on-board transform and lighting (T&L) - the Geforce 256 - in 1999. The GeForce brand became highly popular and with the exception of FX series these cards have always been some of the best on the home graphics market. The popular console Playstation 3 also uses Nvidia graphics.

In February 2008 Nvidia acquired Ageia Technologies and started integrating their physics engine, the PhysX into Geforce cards. All Geforce 8 cards and above now support PhysX hardware acceleration for .PhysX-enabled games

ATI was a major designer and manufacturer of GPUs and motherboard chipsets until 2006 when it was acquired by AMD. Even though ATI no longer exists as a company, the popular brand is still being used for graphics cards (at least until 2011, when it will be discontinued).

ATI was founded in 1985, producing graphics cards for PC makers like IBM. They launched a highly popular Radeon GPU line in year 2000. After ATI's acquisition by AMD in 2006 the newly renamed AMD Graphics Product Group continued making high-end graphics cards for gaming and professional work. The popular  Xbox 360 console also uses an ATI graphics chip.

According to some!! Ati rules in hardware , ati cards have better performance, power efficiency and Price is also considerable !! Nvidia on other hand Provides better drivers , stable ones , which work properly in linux unlike ATI!!   Lets Consider Well known GFX cards from NVIDIA and ATI and compare them!!

Lets take NVIDIA 9600GT and ATI Radeon HD 3870
Observe the pic below!! 

Both cards are good however it's always been a known fact, proven time and time again that ATI's visual quality is higher than Nvidia. If you ever have a chance to see both cards side my side using the same Monitor.. image quality always goes to ATI.  But  some believe NVidia is more powerful and is more suited for gaming and 3D rendering applications such as architect drawings . Well this is never ending fight but with Nvidia's PhysX  technology, PhysX enabled games like Batman arkham asylum etc . . Max performance can be observed only in NVIDIA , but not in ATI!!  

Anyways you only have to answer this question after reading my blog??

Hmmm i guess u liked my last blog !! Games Remixed!! So ur asking wat i'm gonna remix now?? Movies , songs ?? Huh Lets keep this mixing idea in standby mode!! Lets think technical now!!  Crazy technical thinkin that is !! ;)

what technical? Yes once wen i was using my PC , i suddenly started thinking , Cant der be a smaller PC, Smaller than a cricket ball!! 
"Ball , have u gone nuts??"
No read on u'll understand why i mentioned a ball!!


Actually i was thinking , can a computer be enclosed inside a small ball ?? So it can do everythin a PC does and its portable too !! "A pocket computer??" !!  No Even more portable than that !!
Confused?? read on !!


See i imagined a small ball , every circuit embedded in it and that ball will have number of small holes , with only one button ,i.e  power button  !! It some what looks like this

Ok How does this work!! See first of all u have to take it out from ur pocket, and throw it in the air !! It levitates in air and , remember the holes i mentioned , they act as projectors!! One hole projects on wall and works as monitor, another hole project keyboard image on table and other projects mouse right next to keyboard!! These all are touch sensitive !! I think u all aware of Pranav Mistry's sixth sense !! We use that here!! So just touch which key u wanna press, and it is accepted!! Mouse also like original mouse moves left and right according to ur hand movement!!


Now ok wat bout Other functions??


Hard drive , ram ,processor, video card, network card, sound card etc etc . .  will be embedded in it with some new kind of technology !! Just think its possible for now!!


Speakers : Sound output can be received by a bluetooth enabled speaker (say some 7.1 HD output) .Speaker plays the sounds and wow now u can hear ur fav songs !! But Without speaker also sound can be heard by using a Blue tooth earphone given free with this PC ;) !


Wat bout DVD drive?? 
Hmmm to read CD/DVD , U just have to place it on table upside down , and switch on DVD mode !! One of the hole emits laser light which reads from DVD!! See in ur PC, DVD will be spinnin and laser light will be constant !! Here  Laser will be made to spin using some optics principles and DVD will be constant!! Both are same na anyways !! ;)
But to burn a DVD/CD u have to connect a external DVD burner to USB port!!

Ya Usb !! I'll tell how !!


Hmmm now  Wat bout internet connection??
It is WIFI enabled , so u can connect it to a WIFI enabled modem directly !! Simple man!! And u can browse yipppppe!!


Oh finally how do connect USB based hardwares??
Hmmm this is little tricky!! But Actually u need a modem which supports USB function!! so via WIFI our PC can access it !! I'm thinking bout different ways to connect USB!! If u can think of any then lemme know!! 


Hey one more important question!! 
How do u provide power to this??
Ya i have the answer!! Solar power. It works in solar power!! 30 mins if u keep it in light !! U can Use it for more than 2 days !! 




One Final question!!

Critical gaming !! ;)

I usually think more !! Not technically, not this time !!  Some crazy things!! Those crazy ideas not only make u laugh !! But also makes u Think " Is der a point in this?? , Is this possible ??" One of such crazy ideas is written below!! 


Once i started thinking bout a game!! Game means not just a game! What if we mixed all the games together?? Ya Imagine wat happens if ubisoft , EA games , Activision , etc etc companies jointly produce a game , with best features taken from der best of best games?? 
Means prince of persia , prototype , Nfs , assassin's creed , etc etc . . all in one game?? 
I started thinking!!

Meant to be played !!

Story begins in persia!
A small boy , Dastan being chased by the gaurds for stealing an apple get adopted by the king of persia!! A son with no royal blood, and no eye on his throne!! But perhaps der was somethin  else that worked that day, something beyond simple understanding , the day an orphan boy became , The Prince Of persia!! 
Story continues as the boy grows to be the most loved son of that king !! But terror strikes!! Vizier , the distant relative of the king steps into persia (story changed :P ) With his cruel mind , he kills the king and his 2 sons ( imagine the story yaar, lets move on), But Our hero , Dastan escapes!! This is wer the intro video ends , and u start playing!!






U hav to seek help as vizier army is too strong and prince alone cant risk his life na!! So he remembers his father telling a story!! 20 yrs back , wen king adopted this boy!! Dastan's elder brother escaped to a place called as Damascus! ! His name was Alitair !! Ur first job is to find ur brother!! So worry bout vizier later!! lets go to Damascus!! Finding him is not an easy job !! As Damascus is a city famous for street racing!! And Alitair will the no 1 backlist and the most wanted in that city!! to meet him! first u have to defeat 14 blacklist racers and der challenges !! Finally after winning No.1 Blacklist err ur brother , he'll remember you and gets ready to help u!! With his Assassin Skills Prince can Fight wid vizier and his army!! But why take risk!! So they seek help of Batman in Guatam city !! Batman accepts to help u , but on one condition, u have to help him catch 3 of his enemies i.e Riddler , Scare crow and Two face!! Hey wat happened to joker?? u'll know u'll know!! ;)

After completing his quest !! 3 of the worlds best fighters join there hands to beat vizier!! 


But in the mean time !! Vizier will also contact some cool super villans na?? Ya!! Vizier teams up with No. 47 , ya hitman , the silent assassin, cunning clone and the best agent. 
Next villian ?? why so serious??  Ya Joker is back in action !! To take revenge against the Dark knight!!  And Dahaka also teams up wid vizier, to kill the prince ,as the prophecy states  !! Game gets super hot as these 2 teams starts to fight!! u can switch ur charater b/w Prince , Alitair and  Batman!! After 75% of the game ,
When Vizier reveals his secret weapon, Voldemort !! The powerfull And wicked Wizard , The Dark lord , Batman thinks they need more help !!
Batman seeks help of Alex Mercer , ya the same prototype hero ur thinking of!! And final fight b/w Alex and Vizier is mind blowing!! :) ;) 
After the fight , Vizier will be arrested by Sergent Cross !! 


But Is this the end ?? Game ends in a mystery !!
